Meet Maria
Hi, I’m Maria D. Beltran, LMFT, LMHC, founder of Flourish Gracefully, Inc. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, offering telehealth therapy to adult clients throughout Washington State. My work centers on helping individuals deepen self-understanding, navigate emotional challenges, and create meaningful, connected lives—on their own terms.
I specialize in supporting people who feel stuck in cycles they can’t quite name—patterns shaped by early relationships, cultural pressures, trauma, perfectionism, or the invisible weight of unmet expectations. Therapy with me is a collaborative, reflective space where you’re encouraged to slow down, explore your inner world, and reconnect with your agency and resilience.
My approach is integrative, relational, and insight-oriented. Through a psychodynamic and attachment-informed lens, we’ll explore how your past continues to shape your present—emotionally, relationally, and behaviorally. At the same time, I draw on practical tools from CBT, DBT, solution-focused, and strength-based approaches to help you build skills for managing stress, regulating emotions, and moving toward your goals with greater clarity and confidence.
At the core of my work is a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I believe in the power of compassion, presence, and curiosity to help people heal and flourish. Whether we’re working to improve communication, untangle relationship struggles, or explore existential questions of purpose and identity, I’ll meet you with care, cultural humility, and unwavering support.
In addition to being dual-licensed in Washington, I am a Prepare-Enrich Facilitator and a SENG Model Parent Group (SMPG & SMPG Online) Facilitator, with a passion for working with gifted, twice-exceptional (2e), and highly sensitive individuals and families.
My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychology, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Hope International University, a COAMFTE-accredited Christian university in Anaheim, California. Since 2016, I’ve proudly called Vancouver, Washington home.
My early clinical work focused on underserved youth and families navigating trauma, instability, and systemic barriers. These experiences taught me the value of both compassion-focused care and creative, solution-oriented approaches to healing—and they continue to guide how I show up: grounded, attuned, and adaptable to each client’s unique needs.
When I’m not in session, I nurture my own creativity and curiosity through a wide range of hobbies. I enjoy reading, writing novels and short stories, crafting, crochet, sewing, painting, photography, calligraphy, jewelry-making, experimenting with new cooking techniques, 3D printing (both filament and resin), and learning new things just for the joy of it. I also love spending time in nature and taking road trips to explore new places and reconnect with the people I love.
If you're seeking a therapist who will meet you with empathy, insight, and encouragement—while offering tools to help you build the life you truly want—I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
